About the role

As a Senior Transaction Manager - Project Sales (m/f/d), you play a key role within the transaction leadership team, contributing both strategically and operationally to the successful execution of corporate transactions, ideally from Munich or Freiburg, otherwise also flexibly from within Germany.

What you will do

  • You lead a deal team and are responsible for the preparation and execution of national and international renewable project sales transactions, developed by the BayWa r.e. Group

  • You write transaction documentation based on templates supported by the project team, such as information memoranda and decision documents

  • You work with an existing financial model and make sure that it is up to date aligned with Business Analysts

  • You take care of tendering the projects and perform the due diligence (financial, technical, legal) together with the project team

  • You negotiate share purchase agreements and project contracts supported by external and/or internal lawyers

  • You are responsible for the structuring of international renewable projects with regard to commercial, contractual and tax issues in alignment with the project teams

  • You take care of maintaining and building relationships with international investors in the renewable energy sector

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Academic degree in the field of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field

  • 5-9 years of professional experience, primarily within Corporate Finance, Transactions preferably in the renewable energy space

  • Proven track record of closed sales transactions

  • Experience in project management and financial modeling

  • Profound understanding of common enterprise valuation methodologies e.g. Discounted Cash Flow

  • Experience conducting due diligence processes

  • Client-oriented and ability to lead and manage external advisors and internal stake holders

  • Ability and willingness to travel and to work flexible hours that are sometimes dictated by deal-specific needs

  • Business fluent in English, ideally deepened by stays abroad, and optionally: solid German language skills

  • Good Excel knowledge and valuations skills for typical business cases

  • Proven experience in contract negotiations such as SPA’s and EPC contracts
