Timboon West
Overview
The Timboon West Wind Farm obtained it’s Planning Permit August 2017 then it was constructed in 2018 and commenced operations at the end of that year. Located approximately seven kilometres southwest of Timboon in south-western Victoria, the site was chosen for its undisturbed wind flow with strong, consistent wind speeds, close proximity to the electrical grid, and large setbacks to nearby dwellings.
The wind farm has a capacity of 7.2 MW, comprising two Vestas V126 3.6 MW turbines each with a hub height of 87m. The wind turbines can generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 5,200 homes each year, and connect to the existing 22 kV power line that runs adjacent to the site.

BayWa r.e. Projects Australia Pty Ltd sold the Timboon West Wind Farm to Epic Energy in April 2019.
